We love to hear how real parents are using our products in real life. After all, the reason we design our products is to make your everyday life easier, so we want to make sure we’re getting it right. Our Bug 3-in-1 booster seat is a bestseller for a reason – labelled as one of those products you wondered how you ever lived without, it does three main jobs (booster seat for feeding; fixed seat for your little one to sit and play, either on the floor or strapped to a chair) and adapts as your little one grows, so is suitable from around 3 months (once baby can safely hold their head up unaided) to around 3 years. So we felt pretty confident that when we asked real parents how they use theirs, what they love about it and whether they’d recommend it to a friend, we’d get a glowing response, but even we couldn’t help but delight in hearing just how much it’s making day-to-day life for parents that bit easier.
Keep scrolling to find out how real parents just like you are using their Bug to tackle some of the daily challenges life with a little one can throw at you…
The Bug is suitable from around 3 months to around 3 years. How old is your little one(s)?
Emily (@project_ivel)
We have Ella (2 years old) and Bradley (2 months old)
Maria (@kingsburyhomelife)
Little one is 7 months started using the seat at 5 months.
Chased Cheshire Semi (@cheshiresemi)
Harry is 8 months old
Chelsea (@charlieandme.X)
Charlie is 7 months now, we got the bug when it came out - he was 4 months and we have used it just about daily since!
Marie (@marieedunleavyx)
Archie is 8 months old
The Bug has 3 main uses – sitting, playing and eating. What’s your main use for the Bug?
Emily (@project_ivel)
At the moment we use the bug mostly for eating and playing with Ella. She loves sitting at the table painting and drawing and the seat adds stability for her. She is also still too small to reach the table so she eats in this instead of a high chair.
Maria (@kingsburyhomelife)
Eating and play, used everyday every meal time!
Chased Cheshire Semi (@cheshiresemi)
Harry is on the move now, so we mainly use the Bug to sit and let him play safely while I get some jobs done!
Chelsea (@charlieandme.X)
From 4m-6m I used it to entertain Charlie while I cooked / prepped food with the activity tray. For this I used it in the lounge with the feet out and sometimes would use it while we ate to occupy him. From 6m I have used it again, with the activity tray for while I prep food and then I remove the activity tray and use it to feed Charlie in. We mainly use it strapped to a chair so he can sit with us at meal times which is ideal as he loves to watch us eat and copy (or try!).
Marie (@marieedunleavyx)
Main use is we like to strap it onto our dining room seat so he can eat dinner with us and feel like part of our table! Also is great for somewhere for him to sit and play, he loves it!
Which features of the Bug do you love most?
Emily (@project_ivel)
I love how versatile it is and that the bug can be used from 3 months to 3 years! We will be using it with Bradley when he is 3 months!
Maria (@kingsburyhomelife)
The length of time it lasts my little one, versatility on where you have it and easy to transport.
Chased Cheshire Semi (@cheshiresemi)
We love that the handle allows us to easily take the Bug to visit family and include Harry in mealtimes, whilst also keeping him entertained.
Chelsea (@charlieandme.X)
We love that Charlie was able to use the bug prior to confidently sitting and that it has multi uses. I was just about to purchase a standard seat a few months prior at Xmas, but luckily hung on and this came out. Charlie loves his bug and loves the tray which is the perfect size to help with BLW as he can reach to the end when he is moving food around trying to pick it up - I was worried with some highchair he would push the food and maybe not be able to reach it.
Marie (@marieedunleavyx)
I love the fact that it's so versatile, it can be used as a seat on the floor with a play tray, a highchair when connected to a dining table chair, and also a play station. He loves being up high so it's so handy for him to sit and play while i get on with housework and other busy mum duties!
The Bug is portable and really easy to take out and about. Do you travel with yours or is it a permanent feature in the kitchen?
Emily (@project_ivel)
At the moment it’s just in the kitchen but i will be taking it on holiday etc!
Maria (@kingsburyhomelife)
Have taken it on holiday with us to stay cations and is in our kitchen other times
Chased Cheshire Semi (@cheshiresemi)
We travel quite often with our Bug as it’s such a good size for popping in the car!
Chelsea (@charlieandme.X)
I have recently been away with Charlie and took the seat with me which was perfect as he knows when he goes in the seat food is on its way! Prior to him able to sit in a wooden highchair we use to take the bug for meals out as it meant Charlie could sit at the table with us.
Marie (@marieedunleavyx)
We take it to the grandparents when they have him. Its used all over the house
Finally, would you recommend the Bug to your friends and family?
Emily (@project_ivel)
I would definitely recommend the bug to everyone with children aged 0-3 years. It’s a definite must have for playing, eating, sitting practise and a seat!
Chased Cheshire Semi (@cheshiresemi)
We definitely recommend the Bug and would say it is a perfect gift for little ones to grow into, every new parent needs one! The Bug gives parents freedom to know baby is playing safely, and also allows them to include baby in mealtimes.
Chelsea (@charlieandme.X)
I did think £75 was a little pricy and feel the strap buckles a little flimsy for the price and wish they could retract a little easier but overall I highly rate the product and would buy it again. I'm forever recommending it to friends
Marie (@marieedunleavyx)
I would definitely reccomend the bug. It helped him sit up on his own early. Its so versatile, he can eat and play in the same place just by unclipping the play tray, and it also looks very stylish, love the colour!
There you have it. We counted at least fifteen different uses there– from seating your little one higher at the table to paint/ draw/ eat, to providing a safe place (with added entertainment) to sit while you prepare dinner, to taking on trips to the grandparents, so that a highchair isn’t required. What’s clear is that the Bug is super-versatile, making it not only a handy must-have for day-to-day life, but also a long-lasting product that will see you through many months, if not years. What’s also apparent is that once parents discover the Bug, they struggle to imagine life without one. In your own words ‘Every new parent needs one.’ We think that sums the Bug up nicely.
