For the third year running, we’re proud to be supporting Oxfam’s Second Hand September campaign. With the aim of amplifying the benefits of pre-loved shopping and encouraging us all to buy more sustainably, we’re delighted to share that since our partnership started, our customers have:
- Given 19,500 baby clothing items a chance to be reused
- Donated £14,500 through the resale of items through Oxfam’s shops and their website
- Supported to overcome poverty and injustice around the world by simply dropping off pre-loved items in one of our 53 stores across the UK.
Donate & Save £5
To celebrate this huge achievement, this Second Hand September we’ll be giving you £5 off your shop (minimum spend £25) when you donate a full bag of your pre-loved clothing. With an estimated £140million of clothing sent to landfill each year in the UK, we wanted to make it more convenient for our customers to donate the items they no longer need. Offering Oxfam’s donation boxes in-store ensures clothes that are no longer needed can be reused, recycled or repurposed, while raising vital funds. We’ve continued to make donating your pre-loved clothes easier too, with Oxfam’s green boxes in 53 stores nationwide. These boxes make it easy for you to drop off your donations of baby and children’s clothing and shoes.
Embrace Sustainability
To further celebrate Second Hand September, throughout September, we will be donating 100% of the profits from the sale of our Pre-Loved Mamas & Papas Pushchairs. And this year, further supporting Oxfam’s mission to make it easier to buy sustainably, we’ve increased the number of Mamas & Papas stores selling our Pre-Loved range.
We now sell restored, fully valeted pre-loved pushchairs (including a 6-month warranty) at 11 Mamas & Papas stores and concessions across the UK. Find out more here.

- Find your local participating store here
- Pop to your participating store and look for the green Oxfam box – you can’t miss it!
- Add your bagged, unwanted baby and children clothing and shoes - these can be any brand, they don’t need to be Mamas & Papas
- That’s it! Your donated items will be collected by Oxfam and given a new lease of life-responsibly recycled or re-sold via an Oxfam shop.
Our Services/Our Commitment
And of course we’ll continue offering our usual Loved for Life services, to encourage sustainable shopping habits. These include Trade-In – receive a voucher for returning your pre-loved M&P pushchair to be restored and re-sold – and Valet & Service, our deep-clean and safety check for extending the life of your pushchair.
As well as supporting Oxfam’s Second-Hand September across our stores and our community, we’re excited to be backing the campaign behind the scenes too. This September we’ll be running some exciting initiatives at our head office, to involve our teams and to raise further awareness and funds for this great cause – keep your eyes peeled to see what we have planned!
